It is only once all three Archons have been gathered by one guild that players will then be able to challenge for the ArchLord crown. So as you can see it's quite an involved process, but the beauty of it is that it even allows casual players to partake in some form. All they need to do is have leveled their characters and be a member of one of the guilds taking part. Then they can join in the siege battles and PvP battles to help their guild mate push for the archlord gold crown.
After the player has become ArchLord both they and their guild will receive a number of benefits over the course of their reign. There is the obvious benefit of having the archlord gold in your guild and the help and support that they can offer as you play. There are also the financial benefits as well; the ArchLord will receive tax’s from the other three castles in the game. So there are advantages to all those involved in the archlord gold system, not just the ArchLord themselves.
Ten Ton Hammer -Will important PvP battles over resources be a part of ArchLord, following traditional Korean MMO design?
Hodges - There is not the same struggle for resources that you see in other Korean MMOs such as RFO. The big PvP hook of this game is the archlord gold system. But separate from this there is a range of other options available to players in the game. Players can take part in quests, solo or group raids and massive PvP guild battles.
Ten Ton Hammer - Each of ArchLord's three races offers distinct classes. Does this make racial PvP tactics fairly predictable, or are the classes more versatile than in traditional MMOs?
Hodges - PvP is just one small element of the archlord gold , this said the three races will offer distinctive differences with their classes when it comes to combat. This influence will be based on the skill system available to them, players can choose to specialize in particular attacks. So in this way encounters between players will vary depending on their class and the skill sets that they have chosen. Playing experiences will not be that predictable as they will be dependent on the players own personal skills as well as the characters skill set.
